Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson is an English actor, model, producer, and musician. He is known for portraying roles, such as ‘Cedric Diggory’ in ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,’ and ‘Edward Cullen’ in the ‘Twilight’ movie series. Born in London, England, Pattinson started acting from his school days. His professional career began at the age of 15 when he appeared in the popular movie ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.’ He was later cast in the ‘Twilight’ movie series, which was based on the ‘Twilight’ novel series by Stephenie Meyer. The series consisted of five films in which Pattinson portrayed the vampire ‘Edward Cullen.’ The movies were highly successful, and earned Pattinson worldwide recognition. He has won several awards, such as the ‘Hollywood Film Festival’ award and the ‘Scream Award.’ He has also been named one of ‘TIME’ magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People in the World,’ as well as one of Forbes’ ‘Most Powerful Celebrities in the World.’ Also known for his philanthropic activities, he has helped raise awareness about cancer through his involvement with ‘The Cancer Bites Campaign.’ He has also worked with the ‘Prostate Cancer Research Foundation.’

• Robert Pattinson was born on 13 May 1986, in London, England. His father Richard used to import vintage cars from America, while his mother Clare used to work for a modeling agency. He has two sisters as well.
• Though he was shy from his childhood days, he had a great desire to be a performer. He was also inspired by his older sister Lizzy Pattinson, who was a singer. He received strong encouragement from his father to pursue acting. Career

• Robert Pattinson made his TV debut in 2004 in a television movie titled ‘Ring of the Nibelungs.’ The same year, he played a small role in the movie ‘Vanity Fair.’
• Soon, he became acquainted with Mike Newell, who would later direct ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,’ the fourth film in the ‘Harry Potter’ film series. Their acquaintance helped him earn the role of ‘Cedric Diggory,’ a friend of Harry Potter, in the movie. His role received appreciation and brought him fame. • Pattinson was signed to play the next ‘Batman’ by the ‘DC Extended Universe,’ which is owned by ‘Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.’ It was reported on 31 May 2019 that Pattinson has been signed to play the iconic role in Matt Reeves' film ‘The Batman.’
